We are looking for an outstanding Project Manager to join our growing team.

You’ll be working with world-leading companies as they test and trial innovative technologies at Aotearoa’s first multi-use Aerospace Research Site.

This is a full-time contract role. You’ll be based at our HQ in Ōtautahi (Christchurch) and frequently at our site located at Kaitorete, 50 minutes’ from the CBD.

Reporting to our Head of Aerospace Strategy and Global Partnerships, as our Project Manager for Aerospace, you will lead the management of the Aerospace Research Site and advance its future development.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Broad operational knowledge and experience in aviation (>5 years)
  • Familiarity with uncrewed aircraft and airspace integration
  • Safety Management System (SMS) training or equivalent qualification
  • Sound knowledge of safety management principles and practices
  • Experience with site and asset management
  • Knowledge of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) legislation – example rule parts include: Part 91, Part 61, Part 100, Part 101, Part 102, Part 141
  • Experience developing Specific Operations Risk Assessments (SORA)
  • Maintain positive working relationships: ensure our manuhiri (guests), shareholders, aerospace companies, regulators, airspace managers and all key stakeholders are valued as partners
  • A willingness to champion a kaupapa Māori vision to advance aerospace in Aotearoa while caring for the unique whenua of Kaitorete.
